Losing Loved Ones
You know how important they are to you. You are thankful to have them around. They pour their love onto you. They somehow manage to make you feel special. They could be anyone—a friend, a sibling, a parent, a grandparent, a cousin, anybody you love and cherish. But, when they are taken away by death, it leaves a big hole in your life. Leaving you with a lot of questions, shaking you up and sometimes making you numb.
I lost my thulo mommy (mother’s older sister) a year ago. Her death came as a shock to the entire family. She had a heart attack and was hospitalized for about a week. All of us were glad that she had beat death and were gladly awaiting her return home. She was recovering pretty well, so when the news broke about her death, everyone was in shock.
She was an amazing woman who always faced challenges head on; an epitome of strength to me. Her warm, loving and nurturing energy ignited any room. I know that I’m not the only one who feels this way about her because she was the kind of person who treated everyone with great respect. She was special to a lot of people and touched so many lives.
She always gave me the best advice and encouraged me to write. She always pushed me to do the right thing. In her, I found someone I could look up to. I learned patience, tolerance and dedication from her. She was and still is the most caring person I have ever come across.
We take people for granted when they are around. Assuming that they will always be around and that it is how it will always be. One day, everyone has to die but we are still oblivious to the fact that it could be any day, even today. They say, she is at peace now, wherever she is. I hope that is true.
Thulo mommy, you were truly an inspiration. Losing you has made me appreciate all the things that I do have. It has made me determined to do you proud.
You will remain forever in our hearts.

I m really fascinated by the words and the sentences you have offered to Mommy!. She is really a caring and loving person for all of us. I really earn a lot ideas from her. Though she is not around with us but I always feel her present in my heart.
