Lets Talk about Sex!
I read in a book that actual intercourse lasts for only 11 minutes. Is that true?
Dear Girl,
What an interesting question. Thanks for asking. I did not really know the answer to this so I have looked it up. Here is what I have found. It looks like the actual time of intercourse can vary from person to person and on the type of sexual encounter you are having. For example if you were having a quickie it could last 2 minutes. Research shows that an average man lasts about 14 minutes during intercourse.
Sexual experiences can differ vastly for men and women. While for men, an orgasm is almost always guaranteed, for a woman, sexual intercourse does not always result in orgasm. At the same time, while a man's orgasm ends once he's ejaculated, and he will most likely need to rest after that, a woman's orgasm can last for much longer and she can also have multiple orgasms during the same intercourse. So it is definitely up to the couple how long they want to make their intercourse last and with experience, a man can make the intercourse last longer.
