The Last Stanza

One Laminated Heart

one laminated heart you have
one breaking, i possess.
two hearts of one such dying breath,
in two different places.

a layer of plastic, like a dry smile
to protect yours.
gushes of abrupt winds, like memory
mine endures.

one laminated heart you have
one mending, i possess.
fading colors, float inside
in now little known traces.

one laminated heart you have
one breaking, i possess
