Abhinav Khanal is a currently doing his ‘A’ Levels at Chelsea International Academy, where he is the vice president of the Social Services Club, executive member of the Journalism Club and member of the debate team. He is the producer of an international blog site, Expressez-Vous. He is also the coordinator of 1 Degree Initiative, a youth organization that believes in taking small steps to create a big change. He enjoys traveling, reading, writing, blogging, surfing the net and sports.


  • Facebook—you know it, don’t you? You have seen your son or daughter hang around it for hours (or made an account for yourself). Recently, I went through a list of articles in The New York Times and found about 200 articles related to Facebook alone! Not surprising, is it? Most of the articles were antagonistic and a few others were describing how we can use Facebook to upload pictures and make innovative groups and so on and so forth. So, why are we making so much fuss about Facebook? After all, it’s just the usual social networking tool, isn’t it?

  • It is getting apparent day by day that politics in Nepal is developing into a mixture of joke and ludicrousness. In my sixteen year’s life, I have seen some, if not a lot of Nepali politics. I have been alive enough to see one of the biggest party's chief leaders celebrate his 80th birthday. I have seen the King being stripped of his 238-year old Crown by the people. I have also seen a dramatic rise of the Maoist Party to the helm of power. The journey of a ‘Maobadi’ rebel to the post of the Prime Minister of the country is quite amazing, isn’t it?

  • From politics to sports, economics to music, youth often have ideas and opinions on everything. Often, these ideas and opinions are interesting and innovative, but goes...
