Byanjana Thapa has been writing poetry since she was ten, and though her themes and styles have changed, her love of words has not. She thinks of her poetry as "angular". They mostly reflect her leftist ideals and her anger towards an apathetic society. She loves the density of Poe, the fluidity of Edna St. Vincent Millay and the subtlety of Katherine Mansfield. Byanjana is obsessed with ketchup and the color orange. She likes to make people laugh and stalk pigeons. She is inspired by Homer Simpson's neanderthal oblivion, J.K. Rowling's heartfelt honesty, and the strength of the human spirit in adversity. To read more of her poems and erratic musings log on to http://www.accidentallyorange.blogspot.com/.
