Can anyone write for V.E.N.T! Magazine?

Yes. We encourage anyone who has the desire to write to submit their stories to us. We are based in Kathmandu, Nepal and primarily encourage people of Nepali origin or anyone who wants to write about Nepal. Remember, if you don’t want to reveal your name, you don’t have to.

What kind of stories are you looking for?

We are primarily interested in stories that relate to Nepal, although we encourage all types of stories. Our aim is to publish stories often overlooked by the mainstream media, which is usually dependent on sensationalism to sell their news. We promote alternative, grassroots journalism—reporting things we see in our own backyards and speaking out for those who cannot. We welcome personal stories, rants & raves, opinions, blogs, reviews, features, pictorials, interviews, and in-depth reporting. Our goal is to inform, inspire, and initiate a change. The ideal story length should be between 800 and 1,200 words. 

How should I submit my story?

Can I publish my stories on other publications or sites too?

Yes. We encourage you to submit your stories on other publications or sites. However, please attach this tagline along with your stories, "This story was originally published on www.ventzine.com."

I don’t want to write but I have a good story idea. Can I submit them to you?
